NHHS offers a range services and support networks for fathers.

Parental Engagement Services

New Haven Healthy Start support fathers in overcoming barriers that hinder them from being involved in their children's lives and building healthy relationships.

Services include:

  • Parenting classes
  • Fatherhood support
  • Employment navigation
  • Court support services:
    • Family Support Magistrate Court cases including child support, paternity, custody
    • Probation support
  • Therapy and counseling referrals

Men's Consortium

The Men’s Consortium is a support network for men & fathers in the Greater New Haven area that helps strengthen and promote fatherhood involvement.

Meetings: Men's Consortium meets on the 4th Thursday of the alternating months (February, April, June, August, October, December) from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; in December, the group will meet a week earlier than usual due to the holidays.
