The Greater New Haven COVID-19 Community Fund
A joint effort between the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and United Way of Greater New Haven, this emergency fund provides flexible support for organizations working to respond to issues resulting from the pandemic.
Competitive Responsive Grants
The Foundation uses unrestricted and preference funds to respond to community needs in Greater New Haven. This flexible funding supports several different competitive grant programs offered throughout the year, ranging in size from small grants and sponsorships to larger multi-year commitments.

Donor advised, designated and organization funds name specific nonprofits as beneficiaries and are not open to a competitive application process. Distributions of grants to nonprofits profiled on giveGreater.org® are similarly determined by donors and may include additional Foundation funds designed to incentivize giving during community challenges, such as The Great Give®.
