Advancing Racial Equity
The Black Futures Fund
The Black Futures Fund was created by The Community Foundation's Board of Directors to advance racial equity in Greater New Haven and to tackle the structures that contribute to racial disparities in our community. The events of 2020 underscored and revealed the depths of these challenges and the need for a sustained commitment to prioritizing racial equity.
The Black Futures Fund supports Black-led organizations and the promotion of Black leadership and grassroots advocacy, including emerging voices, ideas and collaborations on the front lines of challenging historical and cultural attitudes.
The Vineyard Project for Black Futures in New Haven
The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven launched The Vineyard Project For Black Futures In New Haven in July 2022 to celebrate the strength and excellence of the Black community. The Vineyard Project For Black Futures In New Haven aims to recognize and amplify the vibrant Black history and culture in our local community.
The Vineyard Project For Black Futures In New Haven Fund Initiative
The Vineyard Project For Black Futures In New Haven invites you to create a personally named fund where you direct your philanthropic dollars to support causes that you care about. And to show our commitment to the power of your voice, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven will contribute $2,000 to your fund!
