Financial Management for Nonprofits (9:00 am - 12:00 pm)
Because we know that leaders who establish sound financial management today will have more sustainable organizations tomorrow, we invite you to attend a workshop focused on financial management for nonprofit organizations.

Topics covered in this session will include:

  • Best practices in establishing a strong financial function to support operations
  • Key strategies for an effective budget development process: financial planning and budget development; defining financial goals and objectives
  • Orientation to the strongprofts.org website which contains a library of tools and resources to help organizations become "fiscally fit"

This session is designed for Executive Directors, Board Treasurers and lead Finance Staff. Development Directors and Program Directors will also benefit from this session.

Telling Your Financial Story (1:30 - 4:00 pm)
This workshop helps participants convert their understanding of their organization's financial trends into a compelling story for stakeholders. In applying the concepts learned in the workshop, leaders will be better positioned to use historical data to inform annual and strategic plans, connecting the past to the future as they chart a course towards long-term financial sustainability for their organizations.
