After a brief introduction to the three types of succession planning (strategic leader development, emergency succession planning and departure-defined succession planning), we’ll focus on creating and implementing short-term and long-term emergency succession plans necessary if a staff member or senior Board member cannot perform his or her duties. Organizations will have all the tools to independently craft emergency succession plans.
Following the workshop, participating organizations may then schedule an additional hour of one-on-one work with the consultants between July 8 and July 31, to help with any stage of the development of their plans.
