John A. Parese
- Appointed by New Haven Bar Association for a term of seven years beginning January 1, 2026.
John Parese was raised in North Haven and attended North Haven Public Schools. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He has practiced law in the New Haven area since his admission to the bar in 1973, focusing on real estate law, land use, and related fields of practice. He is a member of the Connecticut and New Haven County Bar Associations and served as president of the New Haven County Bar Association (2001-2002). He chaired the Connecticut Bar Association Clients’ Security Fund Committee and was instrumental in the transition of the Fund from the CBA to the Judicial Branch, also serving as a member of the first Judicial Branch Clients’ Security Fund Committee.
Closer to home, John helped develop the New Haven County Bar Association’s Residential Real Estate Closing Customs and served on the liaison committee with the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors®, which developed the Association’s standard form residential real estate contract.
