The Frank Kenna Jr. Fund was established in 2016 per the wishes of Frank Kenna Jr. in memory of his father Frank Kenna Sr.

The Frank Kenna Jr. Fund was established at The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven by bequest in 2016 with a preference for supporting education, health care and the relief of poverty in Greater New Haven.

Kenna was a Yale graduate, a WWII veteran, and former President and CEO of The Marlin Co. and The Marlin Firearms Co. Having great interest and zest for life, Frank was an avid golfer, hunter and skier. He was a wonderful dancer and had a great appreciation for music. He was a member of the New Haven Country Club, the New Haven Lawn Club, the Quinnipiac Club, the Madison Beach Club, the Hammonasset Fishing Association and the Madison Lawn Bowlers.

Frank was also an active community volunteer. He served as campaign chairman of the United Way and was a member of the Newcomen Society - an International society that promotes and celebrates the history of engineering and technology. He served on the Board of Yale New Haven Hospital as well as the Rehabilitation Center of New Haven (now Easter Seals Goodwill). He was also a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and its graduate branch, the World Presidents' Organization.

Programs at the Connecticut Food Bank, Goodwill of Southern New England, and Foundation leadership activities have been supported from Frank Kenna Jr. Fund grants. To contribute to this fund, please use the form below.
