In January 2018, The Foundation Board of Directors welcomed two new members, Gregory J. Pepe, Esq. and Dr. Marcella Nuñez-Smith.
Dr. Nuñez-Smith, IMD, MHS, is an Associate Professor at the Yale School of Medicine and at the Yale School of Public Health and was appointed by the Board to replace the outgoing Board chair, Kica Matos.
Attorney Pepe heads the Healthcare Law, Corporate & Business Transactions, and Alternative Dispute Resolution & Mediation practice groups at Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. He replaces Will Colwell as the New Haven County Bar Association appointee. Both will serve a 7-year term.
In 2018, life-long Ansonia resident James Ryan is serving as Chair of the Board, and Dr. Khalilah Brown-Dean, Associate Professor of Political Science at Quinnipiac University, is serving as Vice Chair.
