As part of our work with donors, The Foundation hosts a series of briefings about issues impacting our community. Now more than ever, we are ramping up this donor service so our community can come together and act together.
Featuring local and nonprofit community leaders, recent briefings have covered topics such as immigration, media, arts sustainability, health care access, mission related investing and the state budget.
Our most recent briefing, "The Journey from 'Dreamer' to MacArthur Fellow" took place May 15, 2018, when United We Dream Executive Director and Co-Founder Cristina Jiménez brought a message of courage and hope, sharing her personal experience as an undocumented immigrant. In addition to these briefings, we host a series of Community Breakfasts at The Foundation throughout the year.
