New Haven, CT (October 20, 2016) - The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, the region's charitable endowment and largest grantmaker, announces a new communication series called "A Closer Look" to promote the good work of nonprofits serving The Foundation's 20-town service area. The series is running from October 2016 through September 30, 2017 highlighting different areas of nonprofit services each month on www.giveGreater.org®. Examples of service areas include: Seniors; Housing and Fuel Assistance; Positive Youth Development; Jobs; Food & Diapers; Land, Sea and Wildlife; Schools and Academic Support; Performing and Visual Arts; Libraries, History and Humanities; during the month of October, nonprofits operating in the Social Justice space and nonprofits providing services and shelter to domestic animals are being highlighted.
