The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven is committed to support local nonprofits to meet today’s challenges and to build strong organizations that will deliver results in the future.
As the region’s largest grantmaker, The Community Foundation
has many grantmaking programs that support nonprofits. Grants are made from designated and donor advised funds with the direction of donors. In addition there are competitive funding opportunities that are considered through an application process and funded by flexible funds given by donors over three generations. Grants can be made to support general operating costs, special projects and events, and to build organizational capacity.
