Katrina Clark believed that everyone deserved access to affordable, high-quality health care.

As Executive Director of the Fair Haven Community Health Center (now known as Fair Haven Community Health Care or FHCHC) from 1973 to 2013, she transformed a small storefront clinic into the critical community anchor it is today, providing care to thousands across multiple locations.

Through The Katrina Clark Fund, grants will be made to local organizations for the training and education of individuals committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to vulnerable patients in Greater New Haven.

"When we learned of Katrina's serious illness, we looked for a way to memorialize her impact on our community," says Suzanne Lagarde, current CEO of FHCHC. "This is very much what Katrina wanted: a training fund for those committed to the care and support of the most vulnerable among us. We are thrilled that through The Foundation we were able to establish this fund to honor this remarkable woman and her lifelong ideals."
