Activist Tarana Burke, founder of the 'metoo.' Movement, will be the featured speaker at this year’s Community Fund for Women and Girls Annual Meeting on June 18, 2018.
In 2017, actor/activist Alyssa Milano sparked a national response to sexual assault allegations using the Twitter hashtag #MeToo, and a group of women, including Burke and Milano, were named Time magazine’s Person of the Year, collectively dubbed “The Silence Breakers.”
Ms. Burke is the Senior Director at Girls for Gender Equity in New York. Learn more about the Community Fund for Women and Girls.
