10.15.2010 LEAD: Learn, Educate, Advocate, Do!
The Gesell Institute of Human Development will be holding a symposium to address the growing crisis of leadership in education-the lack of knowledge and understanding of child development as it applies to public education. This event is expected to have over 200 educators, psychologists, researchers, and policy makers from around the country in attendance. The event will be kicked off with a dinner held the night before.
Gesell Institute of Human Development is a non-profit organization that works at understanding how children grow and learn. Started in 1950, the organization uses its knowledge to interpret behaviors, plan appropriate curricula, and manage the classroom.
Date: October 14th-October 15th
Location: 310 Prospect St., New Haven
