Funding Available for New Haven Civic Groups

New Haven, CT (December 23, 2009) - The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, the region’s largest grantmaker and charitable endowment, is accepting grant applications from civic groups in the City of New Haven.  Through its New Haven Neighborhood Small Grants Program, The Foundation seeks to promote civic participation and strengthen the civic infrastructure within New Haven neighborhoods.

Grants from $100 to $3,000 are available to neighborhood groups and associations, parent and youth groups, faith-based organizations and more. Funding has been awarded in the past to self sufficiency projects, neighborhood identity and pride activities, beautification efforts, youth enrichment and athletic activities and senior and parent activities.

The deadline to apply for a New Haven Neighborhood small grant is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010. Applications and complete guidelines are available here or by calling Stephanie Sutherland at 203-777-7077.
