Funding Available for New Haven Civic Groups
New Haven, CT (December 23, 2009) - The Community Foundation for
Greater New Haven, the region’s largest grantmaker and charitable
endowment, is accepting grant applications from civic groups in the City of New Haven. Through its New Haven
Neighborhood Small Grants Program, The Foundation seeks to promote civic
participation and
strengthen the civic infrastructure within New Haven neighborhoods.
Grants from $100 to $3,000 are available to neighborhood groups and
associations, parent and youth groups, faith-based organizations and
more. Funding has been awarded in the past to self sufficiency
projects, neighborhood identity and pride activities, beautification
efforts, youth enrichment and athletic activities and senior and parent
activities.
The deadline to apply for a New Haven Neighborhood small grant is 5:00 p.m. on Friday,
February 12, 2010. Applications and complete guidelines are

Since 1928, donors to The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven
have built the community's endowment of 700 named funds valued at
