Nominate a Public School Teacher for Excellence Award

New Haven, CT – (October 2, 2009) The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven announces that nominations are being accepted for the annual NewAlliance Bank Teacher Excellence Award. The award honors teachers who demonstrate excellence and creativity in their classrooms in the New Haven public school system. Nomination forms and guidelines are available on-line; nominations can be made by colleagues, students and their parents. Completed forms must be mailed to Bethany S. Watkins at The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, 70 Audubon St., New Haven, CT 06510 or faxed to (203) 787-6584 by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Award recipients will be selected by The Community Foundation's Education Subcommittee which consists of Foundation Board members, teachers and community leaders.
