Nettie J. Dayton Circle Donor Recognition Program

A bequest from Nettie J. Dayton in 1928 established The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Ms. Dayton’s generous charitable gift has had far-reaching impact in our region, generating more than one million dollars in grants for local communities since then.

So we named our donor recognition program after her... And you’re invited to join.

Nettie J. Dayton Circle

If you have made a charitable provision in your estate plans we want to thank you, personally and in print ... on behalf of all those whom you will ultimately help. (If you prefer to remain anonymous, just tell us.)

The Circle is a very unusual and interesting group of people who have invested, through the gifts in their wills, in a brighter philanthropic future for our region. We honor members of this inspiring Circle regularly and bring them together for special events. It is because of our Nettie J. Dayton Circle members that New Haven and surrounding communities will have the philanthropic reserves in the coming years to tackle pressing problems. It is because of our Nettie J. Dayton Circle members that many vital charities that are here today won’t be gone tomorrow.
