CARE Community Health Reports and Dialogues
CARE, Community Alliance for Research and Engagement, is a partnership between the New Haven community and Yale University that works to improve the health of New Haven’s residents. According to CARE’s Executive Director, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven’s community organizing and stabilization efforts in New Haven’s Chatham Square has made it easy for CARE to collaborate with residents to begin to change unhealthy behaviors.
In 2009, CARE conducted research in New Haven’s neighborhoods to document features related to diet, exercise, and tobacco use. These reports provide summary data about health risks and opportunities that exist in Fair Haven, West River/Dwight, Dixwell, Newhallville, Hill North, West Rock.
